Evidently there is a very strong low pressure system over the top of us that has caused some very strong winds all day. We had planned to go to Anchor Point for the last time with Max, but it was just too windy to even think about walking along the beach in this wind. Soooo, we just spent the day indoors, one of very few this summer. We were introduced to a journal of a couple of young full-timers, which chronicles how they got started and the issues they have encountered. It has been fun reading that and making comparisons. I did a little reading about birding in Anchorage, Denali and Fairbanks as well.

Since we had the time, I searched and found a new chicken recipe, which necessitated a trip to the grocery store. We used the time to prepare several portions of cooked chicken, which we froze for the trip home, and then prepared the new recipe, which was very good – actually a combination of several recipes. We now have a bunch of easy meals for when we are on the road, particularly in Canada, as costs there are even higher than in Alaska. We played a game of Farkle, and then enjoyed the rest of the evening reading.
