Bill and Gary took a ride on Sunday, May 10. We decided to make a day of it and make several stops along the way.
We left home and headed for Spring Hill to have breakfast at Perkins. We did a little shopping while in Spring Hill and headed out for the trip to Brooksville. We drove up Highway 50 to Brooksville. This is a nice country ride in rural Hernando County. After passing through Brooksville, we took Highway 41/45 toward Inverness. This road was real rural...lots of farms and forests. We made a pit stop in Floral City before heading out Gobbler Road to Sleepy Hollow.
We finally made it to Sleepy Hollow. It was like stopping in Sleepy Hollow. It was a wooded area with a restaurant/bar right in the middle of it. We stopped for lunch. Their special for the day was a sirloin strip steak with either crab legs or shrimp, corn on the cob, baked potato...all for $5.00. The food was terrific!
We did a little shopping at the vendors who had wares for sale. We bought a few motorcycle accessories and headed out. We made it to Inverness and then down 44 to home.
