As we approach Hawaii, the sea has become very blue and very flat.

The air is definitely "tropical" too.

Other than that, very little to say today (too busy sitting in the sun).

This is our 8th day powering through this Ocean - I am so glad we are not early explorers doing it in rowing boats or under sail (Kon Tiki?); already after 8 days we are receiving polite little requests to be "sparing in our use of water".

The Hawaiian island chain has around 160+ islands, of which only 8 are inhabited - and most of which are little more than atolls. I am sure the Captain with his navigational equipment and many staff can find Honolulu, but it must have been a bit more hit and miss when they were first discovered. There's an awful lot of ocean for some very tiny islands.....
