Yes, we now sit in Oregon waters. We have had great sea conditions and have been able to make much progress in the last week. The bar was good, thankfully.

Coos Bay is beautiful! We are launching the dink today and heading 7 miles up the bay to the town of Coos Bay. Will take pics and give you an update tonight.

Thursday night- Took the dinghy ride into Coos Bay. It took us about 1 hr. each way from the Charleston marina. It was beautiful but quite overcast and cold. We stopped at the Mill Indian Casino which had a dinghy dock and enjoyed some beer and pizza. We have met so many nice cruisers and locals it has really been a treat. One cruiser provided us with some of his cruising guides of the Northwest since he is headed to Mexico. Many people from a nearby RV park have visited us as they are hunting for crabs in their traps on the docks. The good news about good weather, we get to leave and make northward progress. The bad news, we have to leave. Made the most of our time here and off we go. Next stop is Newport, Oregon. We will leave at 3 a.m. Thursday morning so that we may make it to this new harbor during daylight hours with favorable tides. See ya!
