The domestic side of Shirley
We started our day early. Left the fairgrounds and drove 7 miles to the Lance (our camper) service center here in Lancaster CA. They were waiting for us. We left the camper and drove about a block for a tour of the Lance Manufacturing facility. We had one of the owners take almost an hour and a half walking us step by step to creating a truck camper. We were VERY impressed! It was going to take all day for the repairs (not major but what the heck we were here) so we went to Pasadena to visit our great friend George Vasser. George was 13 when we met him as our next door neighbor in Batavia NY. He was our daughter Darci's first baby sitter. Shirley taught George to drive a stick shift at 16. He has grown up! (imagine that). He is a successful businessman and lives in beautiful Pasadena. Wow, what a wonderful city this is. We went to lunch and George took us on a convertible tour before and after. Another chamber of commerce day. As you will see, his house is fabulous. We are very proud of George. We got back after the service department closed so they had our camper outside connected to the electric and water for our FREE overnight camping!!! Gotta love that Lance. Enjoy the pics.
