Tales of Blue Aweigh travel blog

The Humboldt bar this morning was very friendly though I have to admit I woke up a time or two last night considering our departure today. After a 65 nm run, we made Crescent City this afternoon. Passage was cold but uneventful. Haven't seen the sun for about 10 days but getting used to it.

The guestdocks in Crescent City were wiped out 2 years ago by a wave and restoral is nowhere in sight. Oh well. We just enjoyed a nice sockeye salmon dinner aboard and plan to leave early tomorrow a.m., cast off our dock lines and head out to sea. We prefer day runs as opposed to long overnight runs and will stop at the Port Orford anchorage along the way. We anticipate arriving Tuesday at about 1 p.m. in Coos Bay, Oregon at high tide.
