Getting off the largest cruise ship in the world was as easy as getting on. Since we did not have a flight to catch and are not morning people, we opted for a later disembarkation time. A new app that is being tested in Fort Lauderdale port, allowed us to complete immigration and customs formalities before our feet touched land. The agent scanned in the QR code on the phone, checked our passports and we were out the door. We had left our car off site at the Park'N Go and the shuttle buses were on the spot waiting for us. They drove us to our car so the schlepping was minimal. Because demand for parking is high, they took our keys and parked the car for us. We were amazed to find that all the cars in their huge were sitting there unlocked with our keys laying right where we had left them. We could have traded ours in for a better model. You did have to hand in some paperwork on exiting.
A quick three hour drive found us back at our home away from home. It all looked just like we had left it, except for the baby owl who has doubled in size while we were gone. He is begun to lose his downy fuzz and has a face that unmistakably belongs to an owl. More fun nature viewing ahead.
