Two of Twelve Apostles

Another two Apostles

We made it to the Twelve Apostles, and so did many others.

Melbourne to the Twelve Apostles

We left Ringwood early in the morning, and travelled down to Sorrento -- a much longer drive than planned, and took the ferry across Port Phillip Bay to take the Great Ocean Road to Port Fairy. This was poorly planned, but well executed, and we managed to connect with the ferry. We did not spend a lot of time stopping. The Twelve Apostles visitors centre has been upgraded, and there are, now, helicopter rides and people riding motorbikes on the trail to the viewpoint. Regardless, it is a beautiful stop.

We could have sat there for most of the day -- a spectacular, ever changing place like Sydney Harbour; we simply needed to enjoy the moment. For Darlene, the highlight of our trip.
