The Olson's Retirement RV Adventures travel blog

Our original plan was to be in Heber/Overgaard before Memorial Day weekend and head to Northern AZ from there.

We were having some trouble with the steps on the motorhome. We took it in to get repaired. While it was at the dealer we had them look at the big slide. It wasn't locking in as tight as it should. The dealer said we needed a new clutch on the ram. So it was ordered and suppose to take 10 days. It took over 3 weeks to get the part. Meanwhile the temperature was going from 80 degrees to over 100.

So instead of being in the cooler climate of Arizona prior to leaving, we had to pack and get ready to go in 110 degree heat.

Tomorrow we are off to Williams, AZ. We have reservations for Wednesday to take 'The Train' from Williams to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

P.S. Be sure to read the January entry prior to this one for an update on Gophie.
