Thursday, Nov. 1

A little longer than 200 miles from Florence, AZ to Silver City, NM - about 300 miles on I-10 including a climb from 2000 feet to 6000 feet to Silver City.

The first photos shows that Southern New Mexico is as dry as Southern Arizona.

Silver City is green in comparison and our campsite at Florence and is next to non-cactus-type plants.

We dined at a local Silver City Mexican restaurant where Kathleen had the best tacos ever. My meal was large and very tasty, the sopas huge but the breaded green pepper was HOT, unlike the sweet tasting pepper at the Mocho's.

Tomorrow, we will head north to Gila Cliff Dwelling.

Have a great Friday.

Steve and Kathleen
