Meteor Crater

Standing on the corner

Entering New Mexico

The morning of the 24th, we went to the Meteor Crater, about 20 miles outside of Winslow,AZ. It is hard to describe in just a few words, but I'll try. When we got there it was impressive, massive, humbling, awesome, puzzling, huge, I can go on and on.

Winslow Arizona actually has a park called Standing on the Corner Park. You guessed it, it is dedicated to the Eagles song "Take It Easy." The park, of course, has souvenir shops nearby and yes they all play The Eagles songs.

We left Winslow and headed for Albequerque, New Mexico .

To me it was interesting to see the terrain change as soon as we crossed into New Mexico. It changed from flat desert terrain to dramatic red rock mountains here and there.

We plan on checking out Albequerque today and leave for our next stop tomorrow.
