|We are on the road again, fairly long day. had a stop over at the licorice factory in Junee, chocolate coated liquorice makes a great afternoon snack. Free camped at Mackay Park in Wallendbeen about 20km past Cootamundra, good facilities but noisy. Lot's of trucks through the night, doesn't worry me without my hearing aids but Lorraine said she heard them until 4am.
Again, a fairly long day to our next destination, the Rabbit Trap Hotel at Albert in NSW. A unique old country pub where you can stay in their yard with power and showers for $10 per night. We walked across to the hotel for dinner and were greeted by the publicans, Helen & Phil who made us very welcome as did all the locals who were keen to have a talk and ask all about our trip. I had a T-Bone steak that was nearly as big as the plate.
On the way to Nyngan we called in on Maree and Colin at Tottenham, the couple who made us so welcome at the Bowling Club last year. Tottenham is a very pretty little town with lot's of pride and again the people are very welcoming.
Then on to Nyngan to stay at the Riverside Caravan Park for 3 nights, and the weather for the 3 days here, has been magnificent, shorts and thongs and great campfires at night and a glass or two ??? of red. Sunday will see us on the way to Bourke.
Arrived at Kidmans Camp at Bourke, one of our favourite parks, set up and relaxed for 2 days. The first night produced the most wonderful sunset (See Photo). We did lot's of walking and and had some great campfires.
Then on to Cunamulla, stayed at a new park only open for 1 week as you can see, But met some interesting people at happy hour down by the river. Tomorrow we move on to Wandilla Station at Eulo for the Music in the Mulga festival and will catch up after that.
