|We left Ely, Nevada & drove to Heber City, Utah where we camped for the night at a city park. The next day we drove to Rawlins, Wyoming, parked at a KOA campground where I discovered that Larry brought too many clothes, as our clothing bar ripped off the wall from the weight of HIS stuff! LOL Oh well, live & learn. Guess that 500 lbs was just too much. Will have to fix it tomorrow, too late today! And I think we need to lighten our load ASAP...
We left for Casper, Wyoming this morning. Arrived at the Fort Caspar Campground July 8th. It is right next to the North Platte River which is beautiful & the Fort was very interesting. Am including some pics. The county fair was going on right down the street so of course we went to get some Cotton Candy & to check it out. What fun. Boy they had some rides there that turn you upside down & inside out!
We got to spend some time with my Aunt De, Uncle Ed and cousins, went out for dinner, had a BBQ at my cousin Charie's with her husband Dale, & cousins Lisa & Cathi. Special night. Larry went the following morning to watch Dale & his friends fly remote control planes. He used to fly, so brought back some fond memories! Did some sight seeing with Uncle ED & visited his church on Sunday. The music was great!
There is an abundance of wildlife here especially pronghorn Antelope. They are everywhere. I think Wyoming must be a very important state for the US. It is full of oil wells, cattle & mining! And wide open..wow.
We are leaving tomorrow for the Black Hills of South Dakota. Sure have enjoyed our time here with family but it's time to get back on the road! Oh by the way, Larry repaired the closet clothing bar now. This whole rig will fall down before that bar does again!!!!
By the way, I am taking my hormones so all is well!! Ha Ha...
