Spent a couple of weeks or so in Cusco, not doing too much really just taking it easy, watching the footy (euro 2004 was perfect lunchtime viewing), enjoying the festivals (Inti Raymi) (photos 3-5)and the nightlife. It was nice to stay in one place for a while rather than moving about all the time which does wear you out after a while. I recharged the batteries and got a plan together for the next few months.

Cusco is a good place to meet people as everyone travelling South America passes through and usually stay a while. Our group grew and went daily but the hardcore was a good mixed group and from various nationalities. (Photo 6) is most of the regular lads, and (photos 7-9) show some of the others in our crowd.

I really enjoyed Cusco and I will be back in September for my Inca Trail, but it will be different without the same crowd. A week after leaving the group was split all over the world , NZ, London, Venezuela, Central America, and all over Peru & Bolivia, thats what travellings like. Its mad.
