One last visit before heading home.
We drove to San Antonio to visit with Diana's sister Mary and her hubby Eric. I35 South was under construction. Miles and miles of construction. It was a long day but we made it. Dinner was waiting for us when we got there and a pool to relax in before bedtime. What more could you ask for on a long day of driving?
They have a Cocker Spaniel named Brody. He and Sugar got along fine. I have to confess that Sugar wasn't the best house guest. I think she is home sick.
Saturday we drove to the 'Hill Country' to check out the Wineries. We stopped at a couple for some tasting and then went to Fredericksburg for lunch. After lunch and a walk through the shops downtown we headed back and stopped at one more winery.
Sunday was a lazy day. We were going to go to a movie but time got away from us. San Antonio had rain which they haven't seen in a long while. It was a good downpour so we stayed at home and watched the rain and put in a good movie.
Monday was 'Girl's Day". Diana and Mary went to a tea house and did some shopping. The same thing they always do when they get together. It's a tradition for them. Again, it rained. San Antonio needs to thank us for bringing them the rain.
Oh yes. Did I say we ate and visited and ate and visited? We did not go hungry.
If we stayed any longer in Texas with family and friends we may just blow-up.
Tomorrow we head home. It will probably take 3 days.
