Powell's Books

Downtown ballpark

No baseball anymore. Soccer and football

Catching up a bit. We hit the Oregon Historical Society museum in downtown Portland. It was very good with lots of exhibits. Lewis and Clark have been with us for a good deal of our trip and it appears the Oregon coast is about as far west as they came exploring the Columbia River. I even found out Dave and his elementary classmates learned the state song, Oregon my Oregon. We stopped into one of the largest book stores in the country (Powell's Books). It was amazing! An entire building 4 stories with huge individual sections. Of course we all bought books. Had lunch at a deli and the pastrami was delish. Picked up the big honkin' dually. No more obnoxious bell dinging and dome lights flashing. There was a worn wire which actually was being touched by the break pedal assembly. New oil and filters (oil and fuel) and power steering fluid and almost $1400 later we are set to go. We are leaving today and possibly heading to the Oregon coast but the forecast is calling for a week of rain so we may reassess. We enjoyed our visit to see Dave Clark, Portland and its surrounds. We even stopped at the ballpark. On a personal note today would be my brother Merrill's 67th birthday. I miss him. For our California family we will be seeing y'all shortly. Enjoy the pics.
