|Mon, 30 Jul: Back on the road again...
Today's drive was an easy 217 miles from the Winnebago Rally Grounds in Forest City Iowa to the HWH Corporation Service Center in Moscow Iowa. We've made this drive a number of times and it has always been enjoyable. Today's episode was no exception.
Our route was thru Forest City and then about 15 or so miles of farm roads to I 35. We were on the Interstate only a few miles before exiting to Iowa 27, also known as the Saint's Highway. It got that name, we have been told, because it connects Saint Paul Minnesota with Saint Louis Missouri.
We took the Saint's south to Cedar Falls where it becomes I 380. I 380 connects with I 80 near Iowa City, and another forty miles east on I 80 brought us to Moscow. We topped up our diesel tank at a nearby service station and then founnd a 30 ampere site next to the HWH Service Center. HWH manufactured Carpe's hydraulic system, which operaates both the room slides and the hydraulic leveling system. We're here to have the entire system checked and adjusted.
If all goes as planned we'll be in service tomorrow and on Wednesday continue east to Elkhart to have our deceased fridge resurrected...
