We left Rollingstone Beach around 8.30 after saying goodbye to Terry and Lynda and our neighbours Arno and Suzanne. Uneventful and tiring trip through some places we had never heard of before. Guthalungra, Bowen, Prosepine, Kuttabull before arriving at Mackay around 4pm. Many of these towns had been decimated by cyclones in the past few years. We stayed at the Andergrove Top Tourist Park, where we had our own ensuite. We had travelled 461 klms today and were both very weary. Unfortunately the park is situated very close to the airport, and we were on the flight path for landing planes. Alan being the plane buff that he is, delighted in informing me of all flight details of the aircraft that was now flying so low that I could almost touch the landing gear. Good thing we were so tired as we were soon fast asleep and didnt hear the planes for long.
