Today was our last day at the Visitor’s Center. Marianne took us out for breakfast at the Duncan House Café and we shared about the season. There were very few guests today – less than 130. However, it was warm and sunny at lunch, and we were able to enjoy our last lunch outdoors and finished with a walk down to Beluga Slough.

When we got home, we started dinner, showered, and by that time, dinner was ready – fresh salad, meatloaf and baked white and sweet potato fries. We just tossed fresh potato sticks with Italian dressing and popped them in the oven with the meatloaf (after a little precooking in the microwave). The potatoes were finished with grated parmesan & parsley. We think those will go on our permanent list!

As soon as dinner was cleaned up, we emptied our tanks and put away hoses, all but water, as well as putting away the wheelcovers and grill. It will make the tear down much easier tomorrow. After saying goodbye to Vim, and Jerry stopped while we were cleaning up, we made our last trip to the spit, where several sea otters waved goodbye!  With a full load of fuel, we will be ready to be on the way tomorrow morning.
