We have hit the islands. No not Long, Rhode, Governors, or Grand Island but Fidalgo Island part of the San Juan Islands WA in the Puget Sound. We are in a total forest, meaning the trees really block out the sun. But we are very very close to the water. We took a bike ride today on the loop road and saw some spectacular scenery. The ride was about a mile walking our bikes and 1.2 miles riding down hill but it was a beauty! Took the camper off the big honkin' dually (sorry Steve) and drove into the city of Anacortes WA.A harbor town with a very nice old and historic down town. Tomorrow we are taking a ferry to the actual San Juan Island. We're taking our bikes and leaving the truck behind. Going to spend the day in Friday Harbor (even though it is Saturday). Sounds great as is the weather. Low 80's and sunny with a light breeze. Enjoy the pics.
