|Yesterday we took a tour of Marco Island and stopped at Joey's for lunch ... best subs anywhere (so far)! We wouldhave liked to check out the beaches on Marco, but parking was almost non-existent unless you were a resident or employee. So we enjoyed our tour of the beautiful hotels and gorgeous flowers and moved on to Delnor-Wiggins State Park in Naples. John had read that snorkeling was good at the beach there, but when we arrived it was too windy - no snorkeling, but a swim and watching the kite surfers made our day.
In general, we are finding that the Florida Park system is pretty impressive.
Laundry, grocery shopping, and a drive to Ft. Myers to visit Camper's World to check out their RV supply store and inquire about Extended Warranties for pre-owned coaches. Several people have suggested that we look into this so we are taking your advice. After our( Expensive) RV repair in the Keys, we are definitely motivated to find out if there should be a warranty in our future :0)
We drove back to Naples in a downpour that hasn't let up yet . . . so it DOES rain in Florida and the local folks are really grateful; the concern about drought is never far from their minds. THIS deluge should fill up the canals quite nicely!!
Tomorrow (if we don't float away this evening) we move on to the Woodsmoke Resort in Ft. Myers.
