Bob and Shirley's Great Adventure 2011-12 travel blog

What this must look like in Fall

Cape Codish

Yesterday we hit the local parks in Surrey BC. 3 of us wore our hiking boots, Don being the lone hold out and we hit the trails. The first park we went to was a forest which was the life long endeavor of twin men who even lived in a tree house they built in their forest. Many exotic trees plus huge Redwoods and Cedars. It was beautiful. Next we bounced around a bit trying to find the entrance to the next local park. We found many bike entrances but alas no parking. So navigator Shirley took us to an adjacent park right on the water. We walked and picked delicious blackberries and ate them as we gazed at a scene reminiscent of Cape Cod except for the mountain backdrop. Finished our day with dinner and a camp fire. One more day in Vancouver then packing up tonight to head to Vancouver Island tomorrow. The four of us are having a great time. Enjoy the pics.
