The Olson's Retirement RV Adventures travel blog

Absolutely had to stop for lunch.

Minnesota's only National Park.

Thousands of acres of marsh lands.

Rainy Lake.

Ramp with lots of trailors in the background.

Tomorrow's destination, entrance to toll Bridge to Canada.

It was only a 112 mile drive to International Falls. If you watch the weather in the winter...International Falls is usually the coldest city in the US. Today it is a cool 72 degrees.

We drove out to Voyageurs National Park, the only National Park in Minnesota. It consists mostly of marshland and lake. The boat ramps have both Park Rangers and Boarder Control agents.

We head into Canada tomorrow. The plan is to drive over the Great Lakes and enter in the US at Alexandria Bay NY. It'a 1300+ mile loop which will take at least 4 or 5 days unless we get sidetracked with something interesting.

We stopped at Verizon to check on Canadian coverage. We were advised not to make the any change to our plan since we are on 'unlimited data' and will only be in Canada for a few days. Guess, we are grandfathered in with the unlimited plan. Any change will cancel it out. We will turn off our data manager to avoid roaming. We can still text so we won't be without any contact.

We will continue to post when we have WiFi.
