It's been a couple of days since we've had Internet. We've known for awhile that we were on a very slow, full satellite but there hasn't been a good time to do anything about it. Our modem was giving us a lot of problem, as was our router. So, we've spent the last 2 days on the phone with Motosat and at the store trying to find a router that works well with our system. After 4 different ones, we are finally satisfied that the current one will do the trick. We also discovered that we need to keep our software up-to-date which was news to us. As we have moved further and further north it has become increasingly difficult to lock onto our signal. Anyway, we have now moved to a different satellite and have a new router in place. We were up in 5 minutes this afternoon, where before it took up to 2 hours! A huge difference. Lets hope it holds for our time in Canada.

In addition to our satellite issues, Monday afternoon I opened the refrigerator to get our grandson a soda, and the door fell off! Yep, for the second time now the plastic has let go. Larry called Norcold, and even though we are out of warranty (as of May), they are sending us a free replacement. The service rep asked if we have a wooden panel on the front (we do) and said they get many claims for this problem. Apparently the weight of the front door is a problem. The plastic holding the bottom steel rod in simply splits and allows the door to fall straight down. Larry asked him why they don't beef that particular weak spot up, perhaps by using metal, and he admitted that they should. Guess if they get enough returns, they will? In the future I guess I'll put nothing heavier than eggs on it! LOL No more salad dressings etc....

So, we have extended our stay here in Lakeside for several days while we wait for our delivery. Guess this problem could have happened a couple of weeks from now in a significantly more inconvenient place! Now we can spend more time with Jeff and enjoy the area. Flathead Lake is truly beautiful and the weather has been fantastic.

It's been fun getting reacquainted with Jeff. There have been many changes in him over the past 3 years. We didn't realize he is such a theater buff. Hopes to somehow work that into a career. In fact, he just got a leading role in a play yesterday. Unfortunately we won't be here for the performance, but he's promised to send lots of pictures.

So that's it for now. Just hanging out enjoying northern Montana. And Jeff of course!
