26th Jan: we didnt do much apart from a fair bit of travelling. Everyone celebrated Australia Day last night and some people were really drunk! At the Peru/Bolivia border we had to show our passports in 3 different offices!! The views of La Paz as we were driving in were amazing, it stretches so far. We had dinner in this strange little place, it was like having dinner in an antique shop, cool though! Bolivia is 4 hours behind the UK.
27th Jan: Simon did the ´Death Road´today by bicycle and absolutely loved it, no accidents so dont worry! Abby went exploring and shopping with some of the other girls and looked at the touristy markets but also the witches markets they sell small dead dried up llamas which were miscarried on purpose as if it is buried under your house it brings good luck -it was horrible!! Didnt buy one of those unsurprisingly!! Today was the last day of the first part of our tour so said goodbye to some of our group and tour leader and hello to a couple more group members and our new tour guide. We enjoyed a last meal with the old group and went to a Cuban bar to drink mojitos which were only one pound fifty!! Bargain and really yummy!
