So we arrived at Singapore airport a day late...we got a taxi to our hotel/hostel, which was comfortable and in a great location.
We both felt tired from our manic Oz trip and decided to take our three days in Singapore easy...as we will be coming back later on in the trip.
Singapore was a bit of a culture shock after OZ, but it was great and made us excited about our future travels in Asia. The smells, the people and the hustle and bustle..it was fab. We visited Little Italy which was ablaze with colours and curry houses..yum yum.
Singapore is great for shopping, everywhere we looked there was shopping malls, Lucy was happy and to her delight the whole of the city was covered in Christmas decorations, with christmas music playing out of every speaker..it was just weird that it was so hot.
Actually the weather was weird, very grey and very very humid, we had a few huge thunderstorns while there.
We couldn't leave Singapore without a visit to Raffles, so we trated ourselves to a champagne afternoon tea. What luxury, and only at about 18 english pounds each..bargain. We chose our own blend of tea, a glas of champagne, two scones each and three tiers of mini pastries/sweet and sandwiches...mmmm we could get used to this.
We didn't get to see much of Singapore, but have plans for our next visit, which will involve getting out of the main city, which can be quite claustrophobic.
Next stop...London Heathrow, we are both excited about seeing everyone at home.
