First stop to pick up our mail

Pretty barren

Columbia River

Getting ready for the feast

Not making their money on camping

A first, overcast

We travelled further west yesterday and we thought we were back in Nebraska. Corn and wheat fields filled the plains area of Washington. It was a stark contrast to what we came from and where we will end up just north of Seattle. Hot and dry. All the fields needed irrigation. Temps in the mid 90's. We made one stop in Connell WA and it was important. We got our mail hooray! On our way to our overnight stop in Vantage we travelled along the Columbia River through apple orchards. Right Washington apples. Heading back into the mountains today as we head north east. Enjoy the pics.
