Bridge to Pasco, grain elevators

Yes East Coasters there is another Washington and we are nearing the middle of it. Yesterday was just a short travel day as we made it half way to Connell to Pasco just north of Walla Walla (what a name). On our way we stopped at the historic town of Dayton. They boast 117 structures on the National Historic Register. The oldest remaining rail depot in Washington and the first Washington Court House are a couple we investigated. Back to Connell. It is just a burg but we have had our mail sent to the post office to General Delivery. Looking forward to it since our main credit card was compromised a number of weeks back and our new one is in. Anyway we stopped at a wonderful Corps of Engineers park in Pasco. They are always nice and this one is on the Snake river. Big spots with AC for $11. We went to church yesterday at the Clarksville UMC and after the service they had a fellowship hour with real food. Plus they have a community garden on their property. We got the best corn and tomatoes, apricots and peppers. We had corn and tomatoes for dinner last night. Also spent a good deal of time getting info for our upcoming Northwest camping adventure with Don and Jeanne. We need to coordinate travel into Seattle from Everett, and to and from Vancouver Island, and back from Vancouver to Seattle after our Alaska adventure is complete. Feels good to have that info mostly complete. Enjoy the pics.
