Headed out on the Wildlife Canyon Scenic Byway from our Pine Flats campground (Lowman) to Banks, WY. The scenery was awe inspiring, as usual. Idaho is truly an extraordinary state. After stopping at the Emmett Public Library, Gem County Museum and Micky D's (sign of civilization), we were off again headed west & then north to McCormick Park (Idaho Power Co.) located at the base of the Brownlee Dam on the Snake River. The most amazing thing about Idaho is the arid landscape with sagebrush, etc and the creeks and rivers that flow in the valleys! We were 1 of 15 RVers at McCormick Park, 5 of which were TRUCK CAMPERS! Enjoy the pics.
Tomorrow we'll be taking in the sites of Hell's Canyon Recreation Area. Hell's Canyon is the DEEPEST river gorge in North America, 1000 feet deeper than the Grand Canyon!!
