Aren't they a beautiful couple?

The special day that we have been looking forward to for a little over a year and making our way to since leaving Mesa on June 1st, finally arrived...July 25th. The wedding of my son, Ryen and Natalie! What a beautiful day it turned out to be. It had been foggy prior to the big day, but the day turned out warm and the sky blue. A perfect day for a wedding!

The wedding was held at Kohl's Mansion. An all girls Catholic school in Burlingame, CA (just outside of San Francisco). What a setting for a wedding! Not only is the mansion gorgeous, but the grounds were awash with blooming flowers. Everyone looked stunning all dressed to the nines.

Upon entering the mansion the kids had a photo booth (the old fashion kind) set up in the library. You took your picture(s) and received two strips of four pictures. Surprisingly enough almost everyone had a kissing shot. It was a very romantic day for all! You got to keep one strip and glued the other in the guest book, along with your hand written well wishes.

The wedding took place at 4:30. They shared their wedding vows in the green room with a beautiful back drop of tall bay windows overlooking the very manicured grounds. After Ryen and Natalie were introduced as Mr & Mrs. Yokom, we were invited out to the patio for appetizers and cocktails. The reception was held in the main hall where a sit down gourmet dinner was served up to 118 guests. I'm still wishing I had leftovers to enjoy again! We later danced and visited as we celebrated Ryen and Natalie's becoming one.

Later we were invited to join them in the black and white room to share in the cutting of their wedding cake and their champagne toast to each other. Natalie surprised Ryen with a cake in the shape of the cargo airplanes he works on for the Air Force. It was a piece of art for sure. We enjoyed the wedding cake and danced a little more.

It was a very special day for this Mom. I am so proud of my son! I didn't cry during the ceremony (I did that during rehersal), but couldn't help myself when I had to make a toast to Ryen and Natalie during the reception. I shared that I wasn't losing my son, but gaining a wonderful daughter, Natalie and her family and friends. They are all awesome people. It was one of the nicest weddings I have attended. We had a great time. Natalie and her family put on a first class wedding. A very memorable day for sure! Ryen and Natalie left on Tuesday for a well deserved honeymoon in Cancun.

Thanks for letting me sharing their special day with you. Now that the wedding is behind us, Len and I are heading north towards Washington to spend time with Nicole and David. We will be enjoying time along the way in Crater Lake and Sun River, Oregon. Our journey continues. We are so glad that you are checking in and sharing in our lives as we continue "Living Our Dreams".
