|Last night making supper at the hostel, we got to talking with some other folk that were here taking a skydiving course - they said they came here to do, because 'Taupo is the place'. They convinced us that we should do a skydive here (well Clint wasn't too hard to convince anyways), and we're sure glad we did! We jumped from 15000 feet this morning over top of the lake with the mountains in view - absolutely stunning! This was my second skydive and Clint's eighth. I think I was more nervous this time and was screaming flying out of the plane - i had to jump first! Clint just had a huge grin on his face the whole time! Definitely one of the highlights so far! And since that drained our budget for the next week or so, we headed to the beach for some relaxation this afternoon to a little place just outside of town. Back to the hostel to BBQ a steak that Clint finally thought was acceptable (but still not AB beef quality) and took down our nightly bottle of wine to complement our meal (New Zealand has great wine - to date, our recommendation is Oyster Bay merlot - when its on sale at the local grocery store!). We then headed down to the lake for a nice walk after supper to watch the sunset over the mountain range. Quite a nice day here in Taupo!
