Raining this morning, temperature is 43. So its into rain gear, plus another sweatshirt and off to the river. Not a good morning, drizzling rain cold and only 1 A.C. Back to camp for a hot cup of coffee and warm up. Ya know its cold when yer cleaning fish in the lake and its full of floating ice.

Attention back to the car, need to get the nose cone back in place for our departure tomorrow. It’s finally quit raining and its warmed up some. Had to get my hair cut by Terri before I could work on the car. But finally got it together and ready to go.

4 O’clock and its time for one more try down at the river for more Grayling. Best afternoon yet, their rolling all over the place but won’t take my Mepps #0, lost one on the spinning rod, so put it aside and picked up the fly rod. Their hitting black fly’s on the surface, and I’ve only got one black fly that floats. Good thing I stuck with it, cause they started hitting it after a dozen casts or so. Had 4 or 5 hits then caught one small one which I threw back, then caught 4 nice ones in a row. Need to get back to camp, it’s my turn to fix dinner. No we’re not having Grayling!!!!!

Tomorrow it’s off to Copper Center and the Kultina River, hoping the Red Salmon are running. Update tomorrow.
