It was a bit cooler yesterday but still pretty darn hot, by my standards at least. Compared to the 115+ degree temperatures in the Phoenix area right now I guess this is relatively cool. Fortunately it does cool way down at night, and by morning it can be cool enough to require covers. The generator and A/C units are sure getting a good workout during the heat of the day, and are working very well indeed. The good old Dutch Star comes thru again!

We now have a reverse osmosis water purification system in the Dutch Star and the water it produces tastes great. In addition to the reverse osmosis system I replaced the filter where the water comes into the rig with a much better one that will filter out a lot more stuff as it's coming into the rig. This will further enhance our ability to boondock anywhere that we want for extended periods of time without having to carry a lot of bottled water with us. I'm told that this system will even clean up the water in Mexico if we ever decide to go there with the rig. That's questionable at this point, but things can and often do change.

People continue to arrive from as far away as Fairbanks, Alaska, Florida, and Baltimore Maryland. Very busy place around here right now, and going to get much busier today and tomorrow. On Thursday all of us leave for the hotel in the San Francisco area, and the wedding will be on Saturday.

Last evening 8 of us went to a great sushi bar in downtown Sacramento. I've been hearing about how great this place is for some time now from Nancy and her daughter Nicole, and it was everything that they said it would be. The best sushi that I've had in my limited experience, not to mention the numerous Saki Bombs. We're going back again on Wednesday evening. It was Nancy's birthday yesterday and they brought out a nice Happy Birthday plate for her. Great time had by all!!

Wednesday 8 of us are going to load up in the big Suburban that Ryen has rented for a wine tasting tour of Napa Valley. That should be fun and I plan to take a bunch of pictures along the way to share with everyone.
