We did the Tetons yesterday and what a beauty! At one point I thought we were going to drive right up to the top we got so close. Stopped for a picnic lunch at the most beautiful spot for it, right on the shores of a small lake at the base of the mountains. Lots of folks kayaking, canoeing, swimming and such. We finished our trek with the big honkin’ dually getting 14.2 MPG (without the camper) and came back to camp for domestic chores. Shirley did the laundry and went to a worship service. I worked on the camper doing minor maintenance. We had a nice fire to cap another wonderful day off. Onward to Idaho as we make our way to Washington state to meet up with Don and Jeanne Orilio on the 24th. You will remember them from past blogs. We were together in Florida, GA, and Nashville. We will be camping in the Pacific NW and then going to Alaska in early September. Personal note to my father: today is August 15th and time for you to go swimming it won’t get any warmer. The past three days have been sunny and in the upper 70’s here. Enjoy the pics.
