It was to be sunny ALL day, but when we awoke, it was snowing! The truck was covered with around 2” of the fluffy stuff. It was beautiful, but we are ready for spring!! No sense in looking for birds – there was no visibility. So, we headed for the Chamber office again and spent the entire day working with Shorebird Festival tickets.

Our friend Patty called about mid-afternoon and asked us to join them for dinner. What fun! They have a beautiful home, which is over 1000’ higher than where we are on the water. It has huge windows overlooking an amazing view of the mountains across Kachemak Bay. By the time we got there at 6 pm, the clouds had just disappeared and it was beautiful sunshine. We could hardly take our eyes off of the view – it was simply spectacular. They still have 2-3’ of snow, and it is doubtful it will melt till the end of May!

It is now 10 pm, and the mountains are still shining pink from the sunset. What an amazing place!
