Hard to believe but month five is in the books. Sunday marked the beginning of our 6th month on our Great Adventure. And we did it in style! We left Rocky Mountain National Park with a bit of a limp. Our refrigerator would not work on LP and since we had no AC it was running off the camper batteries (not good). We scrapped our plan to stay one more night and move to the east side of the park but those sites did not have any hook ups either. We were seeking a private campground in Cheyenne WY. We headed out on the only road in the park up with the camper over 2 miles high with sections with no guard rail and a sheer drop off. We made it fine and stopped for breakfast just outside of the park at McDonalds. When I checked on the refrigerator, voila it was working off the propane. In reading about our refrigerator one of the problems LP gas has is altitude. Anyway now it is fine and we made it into Cheyenne midday, set up and headed to town. We went to the beautifully refurbished Union Pacific Depot and did the UP museum there which was very nice. We had dinner in the restaurant there then at the spur of the moment got tickets to see the Cheyenne Players Melodrama. What a hoot! There was a heroin, hero, villan and a host of supporting characters. We had sing-a-longs, can can girls, a sheriff and beverage service at the tables. We are going to do up Cheyenne today and see a gun fight this evening at 6. Enjoy the pics.
