|Gracie went to the beach this morning, very eager to get there, chased a stick into the surf a few times then wanted to walk back, she had had enough. She was even more reticent on the boardwalk at Merimbula; she could see the water through the cracks….
Desperate for a coffee of the non instant type we drove to Merimbula and had luncheon at Wheelers. This is the kind of place where you’re greeted by the maître d'
resplendent in cummerbund with tea towel folded over his arm but not for us, we went around the corner where the proletariat eat at the Fresh Seafood Café, exactly the same food and 10% of the price and served by a girl in a black apron…
After lunch I tried to get a new chair as the one I bought is not doing my back any good and I’ve had to take a pill for the pain ….
We found some at Bega and though they are larger to carry than I would have liked I can get out of it without using my hands….
Then back to the van and I brewed myself a cup off coffee with the stove top percolator we bought years ago for free camping.
Not sure what’s on tomorrow, maybe a drive to Mumbulla Falls or the markets…
