|28 Jul found us traveling from Billings, MT to Great Falls, MT. Leaving Billings, we went by Wal-Mart and to get back on the correct road had to go up the hill on Zimmerman Drive. Wasn't able to go too fast due to the grade, but the view was great. We finally encountered our first large wind turbine farm. We were wondering why there were not more out here since the wind blows fairly constantly. The roads are fairly straight and long. There are times, especially on two-lane roads, when it seems like we were the only people on the highway. Billings was at an elevation of 3100 ft and Great Falls is at 3300 ft, however in between we were up and down with a maximum of about 5400 ft. The weather has been cooperating greatly, although we had temperatures in the 90's today. Our intentions were to leave Great Falls today, 29 Jul, but when we called to make reservations, there was no room at St Mary. It did allow us to wash the coach, do some laundry and other housekeeping chores. I even went over to Malmstrom AFB to get a haircut. We're looking forward to seeing Glacier National Park the next couple of days and looking for some cooler temperatures.
