The past few days have been full. Dick and Larry finished my shelves. They came out very well and we are both pleased. Larry was able to move all of his shorts/t-shirts into his own area, more easily accessible. Much more efficient use of the space, at least for us. We don't plan to ever use it for a washer/dryer cabinet anyway. Prefer to take our loads to the laundromat and do them all in an hour and a half. Works best for us. Larry loves talking with all of the other customers while he waits. He's a friendly guy you know!

We made a quick trip into Rapid to do a few errands. We drove through the park on the way in and came back on Hwy 16. It was a nice drive. There were mountain sheep alongside the road. Boy, they are looking a bit scraggly. We understand there is a disease afflicting some of them this year. Makes them look pretty ragged. We stopped for a couple of shots of a small canyon on our way back. I think it is so pretty in there. Would love to pack a picnic lunch and just hang out for a couple of hours. Maybe one day soon.

Marci, Lou and I went to Hill City for lunch at the Alpine Inn. It was wonderful. I have been there for dinner a couple of times, but never for lunch. Lou and I invited Marci, but she insisted on it being her treat. Thanks Marci, we appreciate it! We decided to go window shopping on the main street and of course, it started to pour while we were as far from the vehicle as you could possibly get! So we ducked into an art gallery to wait it out. Wow, some beautiful things for sale in there! My anklet broke a few days ago so we made a quick stop into Whitaker Jewelers to see if it was repairable. They manufacture Black Hills Gold, and don't do much repair work, but offered to take a look. In less than 10 minutes, my anklet came back, repaired. And no charge! Thank you so much. I really appreciate that kind of service. So, if you're in the area of Hill City, please check them out ok? Located at 330/232 Main Street. Oh, they have the cutest Maltese puppies in the store for your viewing pleasure also! Too cute...

There has been a 10 degree drop in the weather the past 3 days. We are only hitting the low 60's and down into the 40's at night. So, I put a heavier blanket back on the bed again. We planned to fish at Pactola Reservoir yesterday, but with sporadic showers in the area, decided to wait. We are what you call 'fair weather fishermen'! So that's it for now. Hopefully I'll have something a bit more exciting to post next time! Take care...
