Almost lost Bon as driver over 'where-to-go' disagreements. Back on the road by 9 DST however, since no one trusts either me or Mari to drive, ha! Again, overcast and cool (30'sC). Saw an amazing Emu in the wild, looked to be 4-5' tall just standing by the side of the road. Beautiful! Unfortunately, altho we turned around we had to drive 4-5 Km back. Lots of road kill, actually I'd call it drought kill since the animals are by the highway to eat the only food available - runoff from road makes the greenery more long lasting. By noon we're in Port Agusta, sun is out and gettin' hot! The scenery has been changing very rapidly from outback barren to wheat fields to grazing land (obviously more water in these parts). See pics.

Got to the Adelaide area where B & M wanted to cruize the high rent district in the hills - Stirling, Mylor, Echunga, Meadows, Kangarilla, and McLaren Vale. Orchards, vineyards, horsey hills, and looking like lots of $$$. We ended up at LP recommended McLaren Vale Lakeide Caravan Park, expensive and mostly full but enough space for just us in an unpowered site still @ $18 pp! Nice place with pool, kitchen, showers even a bathtub for Mari! Plus lots of birds and wildlife (excluding campers!) We walked into town and at at the Vale Deli - good food at fair prices.
