Escape From Britain! 2011 travel blog

We left Cusco quite early for our 6 hour bus ride to Puno. The town is celebrating a saint now until 5th Feb and there were hundreds of people dancing in a parade in the streets all in different traditional dress from their towns/countries. Apparently people come from Ecquador, Chillie and all over Peru for this festival. The restaurant we had lunch in also had lots of senior police officers having lunch their too and the restaurant put on some traditional dances for them which was really cool to see. We went for a walk with Brad and Bex to a statue half way up the mountain and saw all of Puno and Lake Titicaca.
