Our farewell pool party as "Winter Texans"

A big festival called Borderfeast... we went early before it really opened.

on Mar 9 we pulled up stakes and got on the road...

Went to the LBJ Library/Museum. Worthwhile

the "Johnson Treatment"

Met up with David for dinner at the Saltlick BBQ

On March 9th, we left the Rio Grande Valley to meet up with son, David. He is covering the NBA commissioner's visit to the big "show" in Austin called South By Southwest (aka SXSW). We enjoyed our time in the Texas tropics, virtually no rain, warm temperatures, although quite windy most of the time. After spending 3 month's pretty stationery, we are now on the move. From Here we head to: Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, Tuscon, Phoenix area and then on to Yuma before heading back east.

Apologies are in order to our faithful readers of this blog... we got a bit lazy (that should read: John got a bit lazy). We didn't see any national parks or other major attraction, just enjoyed the weather. From here on we promise to keep everyone up to date.
