Jack and Barb pulled out Wednesday about 9am. I even got my lazy rear out of bed at 7:30 to witness their departure! It was a beautiful morning with clear skies and no wind. Our time together went entirely too fast, but we understand that their lives are a bit different than ours. Barb has to be back in Ohio for meetings starting Tuesday morning for the University where she teaches and Jack's sawmill is calling his name. We had a wonderful meal together Tuesday night and a campfire afterward. They gifted Larry & I and Dick & Lou with a cool wind chime. It has the lightest, prettiest sound to it. Don't worry, if you park next to us and it gets to be 'too' much, we take it down. Along with our other one. Personally, I think they sound lovely, but not everyone agrees...

They missed one heck of a storm! Wow, it hit around 2am and the thunder roll did not stop for over an hour. Sounded like a freight train! I got nervous enough I went and got Larry up to see if he thought everything was going to be okay. It was lit up like daylight for an hour or better. And the largest raindrops I think I've ever seen. It finally settled down around 3:30am and we both got a bit of sleep.

Thursday I made buffalo burgers for dinner. A new first for me. I had a small bite of one a couple of years ago and liked it, so since buffalo meat is plentiful in this area, I thought we should try grilling our own. Dick and Lou were here also, as we were heading for the free music concert held downtown on Thursdays. There was a group from Kentucky playing when we arrived and they were awesome! Tom, Tina and U.S. Express...Larry purchased two of their CD's, one of them entitled 'I Just Don't Look Good Naked Anymore'....The lead singer Tom was just too funny. We spoke with them after the program and discovered they are RV'ers also. They were invited here by a local couple, who saw them perform in Florida a couple of years ago. Good job guys...We had such an enjoyable evening.http://tandtexpress.mysite.com

Yesterday Dick finished up the cabinet for Larry's computer tower and began the shelving for the bedroom closet. Larry is so pleased with his computer 'space'. Certainly freed up more room on his small desktop. And I am looking forward to my closet being done as well. Will take pics for all to see when completed. Matter of fact, they are working on them as I write this. It is 72 degrees again today, beautiful. We spoke to Bonnie this morning and it is well over 100. Whew, we don't miss the heat at all. All of our windows are open and there is a light breeze bringing in the scent of the pines. Onyx is in the shade of the picnic table, supervising the project! Her favorite thing to do. Watching the world go by! And the deer....

We plan to start exploring the park the first of the week. Next weekend is Gold Discovery Days and the following begins Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. We prefer to do our exploring when the crowds aren't here. So, it's time to get a move on! Have a nice weekend....
