Wildlife count: Tidepool critters

Year List: 233

We left early this morning and walked the tidepools to work. There were a few critters on the sand, but we will have to wait for the rangers to show us where all of the critters hide. We opened the center at 10 and closed at 5 pm, showing several films about World War II battles and incidents that occurred in the Aleutian Islands, as this weekend is the 70th Anniversary of a huge battle there. We also helped hang a photo exhibit on the war in the Aleutians. In order to help Ithaca, I learned to use the cash register, so that we won’t have to call here every time someone needs to make a purchase in the book store. It has been a great day – there were a lot of folks in the campground when we got home.

Dinner was grilled chicken and rice/peas/sweet red peppers w/almonds. We had rice pudding for dessert. A great day.
