Buenos Aires, Argentina

Today we were meant to be heading for Paraguay and so we got up at about 6:00am and at 7:00am all went to the next street to be picked up by the truck, but the truck did not come. Eventually we were told to go back to the hostel and wait till 9:00am when we would be told further news. We went to breakfast in the hostel (bonus as we didn't have breakfast supplied on the truck today) and awaited news. Pat, our driver, eventually came and told us that there was a problem with the truck's computer and the batteries and he would need to have it fixed before we could leave Buenos Aires. It would be at least Saturday before we could leave so we checked back into our rooms again. Further news was expected later in the day, so we went for another walk in the city, this time to the Obelisk, Pink Palace and over to Montserrat and San Telmo. We picked up some sandwiches for lunch and headed off about noon and arrived back at the hotel around 4pm after seeing more of the sights (quite a bit more in fact) of the city. Just before dinner we were advised that the truck would not be leaving and that we would need to go on a public bus up to Paraguay tomorrow (Saturday) and that further details would be advised later, so we went out to dinner and when we arrived back at about 10:30pm we found out that we would be leaving at 8:00pm on Saturday. So to bed, not an early morning tomorrow.
