Great weather has been travelling with us during the last 2 weeks and it continued yesterday as we drove further up the coast of Lake Huron MI. We got a little late start after sleeping in a bit but did manage to put on over 100 miles. First stop was in Tawas a a park to do a little business telephoning and stretch our legs. This park reminded both of us of the Freeport NY park at the end of the Nautical Mile where my father and I go. Then on to Sturgeon Pt. What a view and a light house with a super museum depicting the nearly 200 years of use and still going strong. There was another one room school house there also AND a brick outhouse that was still functioning. We drove up to Alpena and found a very nice private campground that accepted our 50% off membership! Camping for only $17, not bad. Today we are excited to be going on a 2 1/2 shipwreck cruse on a glass bottom boat. Then to the Great Lakes Heritage Museum. Having a ball. Enjoy the pics.
