The loneliest day of the trek - from Lower Pisang to Braka....

Taking it all in while breaking to catch our breaths

Nick finally spots a Yak - just outside of Braka.

Just a quick note to let everyone know we're doing great, and surviving the trek. It's amazing - 6 or so hours a day (so far), and gaining lots of altitude. We're at 2800 meters tonight, in a place called Chame, which actually has internet service (surprisingly even quicker than Laos...)

We'll only get one or two more chances to check in and plot our spots over the next 18 days, but we'll be going over the highest pass (Thorung La, at 5400 meters), and visiting the highest lake (Tilicho Lake) in the world.

Now as long as we can stay warm, and convince hotel owners to give us a double bed, instead of the two singles miles across the little rooms...
