Today is my father's 88th birthday. He is an amazing man in many ways and I am proud to share his name as a Jr. Another fine day yesterday. Weather was perfect. We must have stumbled upon the one week of summer in Western New York. Sunny and low 80's. We took a step back in time for breakfast yesterday being treated to Sloppy Joe's Deli down the road. Billy and Linda (our hosts), their friends Tom and Bonnie and the two of us were entertained by a bluegrass band for over an hour. This reminded us of the wonderful evenings we spent early on at Cedar Key Fl. We came back to the "camp" hung out and then went to visit Larry and Susan and their home in the hills. WOW! How neat it must be to build a home to your specs with the spaces and rooms you want. Most of us fit into a home we buy. This home fits them. Linda cooked a marvelous dinner of chicken, potatoes and veggies. Shirley did her baking thing with 2 apple pies and sheets of brownies. And of course there was the occasional beer. I need to start doing exercise on a daily basis. We had great fun here and it was relaxing. Heading west.....enjoy the pics.
