We started the day in Maryland. The highway we drove along brought us through some picturesque small cities and countryside.
In Maryland, we drove through a nice wooded state park named Gambrill State Park, just a couple of miles off the highway.
In Pennsylvania there are a lot of cities and towns that have many old brick buildings. It is so good to see that they are maintained well and are used. Some for businesses, some for homes.
The countryside along our route is dotted with rolling hills, farms and homes. Everywhere we looked there were many shades of green.
While driving we experienced rain and a few thunderstorms. That's probably why it's so green.
We didn't stop anywhere in West Virginia because the road brought us through the little northwest piece. We went through Wheeling, WV. It looks like it is the only relatively big city in that piece.
We reached St. Clairsville, Ohio. A nice little town we look forward to exploring today.
