Start: Jasper, AB Stop: Prince George, BC

Campground: Blue Cedars CG

Such a good sleep last night. The trains finally stopped rolling by and the first one this morning was about 0430. I think the number of trains compares with Sandpoint, ID where we saw over 100 trains per day. As we continued our drive through the Canadian Rockies, the views just kept coming. Our stop at Mt Robson was nice, but the mountain was covered in clouds – disappointing since we saw the mountain in full sun in 2011. Before we hit the road this morning we had coffee and a sweet treat from a local bakery. Our arrival in Prince George saw threatening skies moving in but we made a stop at Costco and had a good conversation with one of our fellow travelers who gave us ideas on a nice place to stop. On our way to the campground we ran into a thunderstorm complete with heavy rain, spectacular lightning, and some small hail. We may alter our plan somewhat based on our conversation with our fellow travelers. We will still be heading west in BC and targeting to join the Cassiar Highway in the next few days. After the Cassiar Highway we will join the Alaska Highway at Watson Lake. The challenge at Watson Lake will be to find our sign that we planted in the Sign Post Forest in 2011.
